Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting is the process of cutting an object using a laser. One advantage of this process is that laser cutting does not require contact to be made with the item being cut. In contrast, in a contact-cutting process, the bit or other type of cutting tool must be replaced when it becomes worn. Laser cutting also requires no retooling or recasting of dies for multiple applications. Because laser cutters are cnc machines, merely changing software settings starts a radically different laser cutting application.

Laser marking is the process of marking an object using a laser. This process does not require any contact to be made with the item that is being marked. This is advantageous over other types of marking processes because in a contact-marking process, there is an additional medium applied to the surface of the material that could scratch off or fade with time. There is no need for retooling when using laser marking. Laser marking is permanent yet it does not remove any material or cause deformation.

Laser Engraving Software

This software is named 1-Touch Laser Photo. 1-Touch Laser Photo quickly empowers the user to prepare an image for laser engraving on a variety of materials at optimum settings. First, the image is opened in the software. Next the image is sized to the same size as the material to be engraved. Third, the material is chosen from a drop down list and the appropriate filter is applied to the photo. Finally, the filtered image is engraved onto the material.
